Papaya Farming Introduction Papaya is a large, herbaceous crop known as papaw or pawpaw. This crop is a dual purpose, early bearing and space-conserving variety. It is a native of Northern South America and Mexico, but of late it has become a natural growing plant in tropical and subtropical regions of the world. The papaya crop cultivation is a rewarding venture even when undertaken on a small piece of land. The demand for this fruit is increasing because the farmers and consumers realize the importance and benefits of the fruit. More than 60 countries produce papaya, but the majority is being produced by the developing countries. The phytosanitary restriction on the Mexican papayas has resulted in a high price of the papayas and due to this many cultivators in the other parts of different countries are planning to get back to papaya farming. Mini Rice Mill Product and its applications Rice is the kernel part of paddy and is obtained by the removal of the paddy husk and a thin layer of bran. Rice milling is the process of removal of these and then polishing them. The whole process has to be accomplished with care to avoid the breakage of rice and improve recovery. The rice again is available in the husk, market in two varieties- Raw and parboiled. The raw rice is obtained by simply milling the raw paddy, while parboiled variety is the one in which the paddy is first partly boiled and dried before milling. Parboiled rice is preferred in some parts of the country such as Assam, West Bengal, Orissa, some parts of Bihar etc. The process of milling for both is the same except for the boiling part of the paddy.
